We are lucky to have an opportunity to visit various professionals in the valley and learn about their jobs. Handouts from some of the past job shadows can be found below. If you have a specific job you would like to experience, let us know and we'll try to set up an opportunity.
Psychology
Sigmund Freud, considered the father of psychoanalysis, once said, "The voice of the intellect is a soft one, but it does not rest until it has gained a hearing." Perhaps this quote speaks to the human need to express thoughts, desires, and problems. This is the realm of psychology.
Pilot
Most people have heard of Howard Hughes, Charles Lindbergh, and Amelia Earhart. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to see the world from a bird's eye view?
Social Work
Social workers work in a variety of settings, from schools to hospitals to clinics. They help people manage social, financial, and health problems.
Engineer
Engineers work in a variety of fields to analyze, develop and evaluate large-scale, complex systems. This can mean improving and maintaining current systems or creating brand new projects.
Video Game Designer
Video game designers write the blueprints for computer games. They create the mission, theme, and rules of play.
Architect
Architects plan and design all types of buildings and structures. Architects take part in every phase of a building project. They work with many other people during this process, including the client, engineers, and general contractors.
